28 June 2017
What do Wassily Kandinsky and Vladimir Spivakov have in common? They both are admirers of European folk religious reverse paintings on glass. Spivakov discovered these 'glasses' in Colmar where an annual music festival under his leadership is held every year. He has found one in an antique shop and spontaneously made a purchase. It has formed the basis of his future collection. 'Every year I celebrate Colmar festival with a purchase of a new 'glass', — Vladimir Spivakov says. — First 'glass' that I have bought represents the Last Supper'.
