Temporary exhibition
The Artist is Unknown. Touch upon the Essential
12 October - 21 January
The project ‘The Artist is Unknown. Touch upon the Essential’ presents paintings and graphic works created at the turn of the 19th–20th centuries.
The names of many authors of these works have not yet been established, and the identities of others — Wassily Kandinsky, Alexej von Jawlensky, Ivan Klyun and Nikolai Milioti — were revealed only recently. This project allowing us to ‘touch on the essential’ by learning the main categories of fine art: light and colour, shape and texture, composition, point and line, movement and sound.
