"Art of powder and blush": lecture by fashion historian Maryana Skuratovskaya

The Museum of Russian impressionism invites you to attend its new lecture "Art of powder and blush" by fashion historian Maryana Skuratovskaya. She will be talking about makeup, hairstyles and beauty secrets of ladies pictured on canvas by artists’ of the 18th century. You will learn the most interesting facts, starting from treats that cosmetics of these times constituted, and finishing in secret language of beauty spots.
Greasepaint, blush, powder, beauty spots… We will discuss specificities of 18th century beauty routine that turned women into dolls from artistic portraits. Only the most curious things about rococo makeup and hairstyles!

Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 11:00 – 20:00 Wednesday, Thursday: 12:00 – 21:00 Ticket Office closes 30 minutes prior to Museum closing.The museum is closed to change the exhibition. On October 21, we meet again at the museum!
